West Brom hope to announce the signing of Markus Rosenberg in the next 24 hours after holding talks with the striker on Monday.
Rosenberg has been on the Baggies radar since becoming a free agent after his contract with Werden Bremen ran out this summer and he spent Monday afternoon undergoing tests and holding talks with the Baggies at the club's training ground. The Sweden international wasn't the club's first choice in the search for a new striker but Steve Clarke is happy enough with what he has seen to push through a deal. Rosenberg would become West Brom's fourth close season signing after midfielder Claudio Yacob, winger Yassine El Ghanassy, who is on a season long loan from AA Gent, and goalkeeper Ben Foster. He scored 40 goals in 123 appearances for Bremen and previously had a spell with Ajax.
