Boffin leaves Hammers

Goalkeeper Ruud Boffin has parted company with West Ham after having his contract with the npower Championship club cancelled by mutual consent.

The 24-year old Belgian joined the Hammers in September 2010 to serve as cover for first-choice keeper Robert Green, but made just three appearances for the promotion-chasing east London club. A statement on whufc.co.uk said: "West Ham United would like to thank Ruud for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future."
