Carlton Cole is back for West Ham after a hamstring problem for their clash with fellow strugglers Hull City.
The striker - who has been the subject of speculation linking him with moves to Liverpool and Manchester United - is on his way back after treatment to face the side one point ahead of the Hammers.
The problem ruled the England international out of his side's 2-1 defeat to Everton.
Meanwhile, Alessandro Diamanti (hip) is missing while left-back Herita Ilunga (hamstring) is a doubt, but long-term absentees Kieron Dyer (hamstring), Dean Ashton (ankle) and Luis Boa Morte (knee) remain sidelined.
