West Ham United's owners Straumer will find out on December 11 if they will get a stay of execution to sort out their debts.
The Hammers could potentially be plunged into administration and docked nine points if the decision goes against them in an Icelandic court.
Straumer - whose off-shoot CB Holdings owns the club - were given more time to come up with a plan in the summer.
Company spokesman Georg Andersen insisted: "Yes, there is a hearing on December 11, but we anticipate that that the court will grant further time for matters to be resolved."
Two interested parties are waiting in the wings to buy the club with a consortium fronted by the Intermarket Group in the driving seat after providing proof of funding.
However, former Birmingham owners David Sullivan and David Gold are also in the running.
