England call coming for Green - boss

West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola has backed keeper Robert Green to win an England recall if he continues in his current form.

Zola has called on Fabio Capello to give Green a call up to the England side after another outstanding performance at Anfield on Monday night when he kept Liverpool at bay.

Zola believes that England boss Capello can't ignore the one-capped star for much longer and he will soon be back into the international squad.

"I have told Robert that if he continues to perform the way he is, he will be back in the England squad," Zola said of his number one.

"Capello knows what is the right thing to do and Green knows he must continue to perform every week like he is now, and then he will be rewarded.

"I am delighted with Robert. He is looking very comfortable now. He was getting some stick, but now he is getting the rewards he deserves.

"He is working very hard during the week and I am very pleased with him."
