West Ham have been linked with a £1million move for 18-year-old Birmingham winger Nathan Redmond.
Redmond, who was named as the Blues' young-player-of-the-season, burst onto the scene last season and made a big impression, particularly in their Europa League campaign. Birmingham are desperate to keep hold of the highly-rated youngster but the club's financial worries have placed doubts on his future at St Andrew's. The Birmingham Mail have reported that West Ham are ready to make a move for Redmond and hope to convince the Blues to sell with an offer of £1m plus appearance based additions, that could potentially see the fee rise to around £4m-£5m. It appears unlikely that Birmingham will accept such an offer for Redmond, a product of the club's academy, but West Ham are ready to test the waters due to the Championship side's financial concerns.
