West Ham are set to make a January move for Wigan striker Marlon King if the Latics snap up Emile Heskey from from Aston Villa.
The much travelled frontman may again be on the move if Wigan re-sign Heskey who is looking for more regular first team football than he is getting at Villa in order to keep himself in Fabio Capello's thoughts for next summer's World Cup.
Hammer's boss Gianfranco Zola is on the lookout for a new striker but looks to have lost out on number one trarget Luca Toni so a possible move for King is on the cards.
The fee being mentioned is £1.5m which is well within the Hammers remit although there are likely to be many who would see the move as something of a step down after trying to land Italian international Toni from Bayern Munich.
