I will give everything - Behrami

West Ham United, 11:35, September 3, 2010 , | 3 Comments

Valon Behrami has revealed his disappointment at failing to secure a move to Roma, but vowed to 'give everything' to West Ham.

The 25-year-old Switzerland international looked set to quit Upton Park during the transfer window after being given permission to speak to Roma. However, the Italian Serie A outfit were unable to raise the funds required to sign Behrami and the player is now set to stick with the Hammers at least until January.
The former Lazio player, who joined West Ham two years ago, revealed that he wanted to go back to Italy for personal reasons. And, while he is frustrated that a move to Rome fell through, he vowed to help Avram Grant's men get back to winning ways following a poor start to the campaign in which the side has lost their opening three matches.
"I am disappointed the deal failed to go through - that is for certain," Behrami told The Sun.
"Avram Grant gave me his permission to speak with Roma.
"But he also said he needs me, with West Ham bottom of the table. I'm sure I'll still get to play for them."
He added on the club's website: "I now just want to try and help everyone here, the people who have helped me with a difficult moment [in my life]. Now we as a team are in a difficult moment and I give everything."

What a tos-er!! West Ham have paid his wages even though majority of his time spent at wham he has been injured!!! He was one of my favourite players..Yes boo hoo his mrs can not settle in London but hang on he is getting paid alot of money so if his mrs is unsettled then fly her home and travel back 2 and from where ever she lives!!! Its not like he is working 12 hour days and cant afford to travel to work…stop lying!! He only used us to get in the shop window!!Knowing our luck now he will get injured again and no-one will want him in JAN transfer window!!! Scum…Lets play the players that want 2 play..LIKE STANISLAS!! Let him rot in the reserves

He's alright, he's just another transient footballer, no better no worse than most of the PL foreign imports. If he plays and gives the 110% that we as fans have always seen from him, then all well and good, can't really ask for more in this day and age. If he actually starts to show his pre-cruciate qualities, then we'll have a stong player in the squad till Jan at least, rather Behrahmi than Kovac any day.

clueless comment! He came from lazio, a bigger club than west ham and injury wise he's had a succession of small injuries but no more than other midfielders. First season great second season not so great but he's a good player and i'm happy he's staying for a bit longer. How much time off do you think premier league footballers get to pop to italy and back?
