West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola has been handed a boost on the injury front, with Valon Behrami returning to training.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who arrived at the club in a £5million deal from Lazio, has missed the last two games with a calf injury but has now resumed training.
Behrami is now hopeful that he can prove his fitness and return to the first-team frame for the clash with Portsmouth this weekend.
The Swiss international told the club's website: "It has been very hard to watch the last games and not play because I want to help my team.
"It is tough to be out and to have to watch when you can't do anything for the team.
"It was very hard. It is much harder when the situation is like it is rather than when the team are getting the results."
As for the clash with Pompey at Upton Park, he said: "We are looking forward to the game and we will give everything to get the victory on Saturday."
