Jaaskelainen wants to build on shut-out

Goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has challenged his West Ham team-mates to build on their defensive stability at Swansea this weekend.

The Irons, promoted via the play-offs, started life back in the Barclays Premier League with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa at Upton Park on Saturday. Summer signing Jaaskelainen, who recorded a clean sheet on his debut, feels it is a solid foundation on which to build. He told the club's official website: "A 1-0 win is always a tight one, but it also shows that the team played very well defensively. "We also continued to play our own game and it was a very solid performance. "We now have to build on this and hopefully we can carry our winning form into next weekend."
