Midfielder set for exit
West Ham United, 10:20, July 14, 2009 ,
West Ham are hoping to offload French international Julien Faubert with Bayer Leverkusen said to be showing an interest.
The Hammers are keen to see the 25-year-old move on as he appears to have no future at Upton Park having returned to the club after a loan move to Real Madrid where he hardly featured.
The Hammers paid £5m plus when they signed him from Bordeaux in July 2007 but they would be happy to allow him to leave for around a fifth of that price if it meant removing him from their wage bill.
Faubert has struggled at West Ham since he ruptured his Achilles tendon in a pre-season game, and did not play for the first team until January.
