West Ham's hopes of landing Scotland forward Steven Naismith are fading as he looks set to join Everton.

The 25-year-old is looking for a new club after deciding he does not want to be part of Rangers newco and David Moyes is the favourite to land him as the player is thought to be keen to team up with his former Rangers teammates Nikica Jelavic and David Weir - now on the Everton coaching staff.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is also keen on the player and he is joined by new West Brom boss Steve Clarke and Stoke City chief Tony Pulis but Everton lead the way.
Reports that the Scotland forward has already undergone a medical on Merseyside are wide of the mark but Allardyce will still have to move quickly if he is to have any chance of landing him.
