Sevilla go for Hammers target
West Ham United,
Sevilla have joined West Ham and Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Racing Santander defender Alvaro Gonzalez.
The Hammers made their move for the £4million-rated defender last week when it seemed that Europa League winners Atletico would be their main rivals for the signature of the 22-year-old.
But Sevilla have now entered the fray as they look to bolster their squad with the capture of one of the few players to shine for relegated Racing, who finished bottom of Spain's top flight last season.
Gonzalez made 34 starts for Santander as they conceded 63 goals in the Primera Division.
Sam Allardyce is also interested in Fiorentina defender Alessandro Gamberini, 30 and West Brom's Swedish centre-back Jonas Olsson.
