Tristan on Hammers hopes

West Ham United, 15:35, November 13, 2008

West Ham new boy Diego Tristan says the side are too good to go down despite just one point from the last 18 on offer.

The poor run has seen the Hammers slip to within two points of the drop zone but Tristan, who is in line for his debut against Portsmouth on Saturday, believes the side are too good for the drop.

"I think we have a good enough squad to stay up this season but every game is difficult," the Spaniard told The Sun.

"We have to adapt to this new style of play and that's not easy."

"The only reason I came here was to play for Zola," added the former Deportivo La Coruna forward.

"I am working hard to make sure I'm fit and ready to help the team."
