Tristan told to be patient

West Ham United, 13:59, October 18, 2008 ,

West Ham new boy Diego Tristan has been told he will have to wait for his chance to impress in the Premier League.

The 32-year-old Spanish striker has only just joined Gianfranco Zola's men from Italian outfit Livorno and has been told he will have to wait for his chance in the Hammers starting XI.
"It's too early for Tristan. It will take him a couple of weeks to be fit for the premier league," Zola told West Ham's official website.
"He has been training for two weeks, and I have to say he has impressed me very much in his finishing and the way he moves on the pitch is perfect for the way we play.
"Hopefully now we're going to get him back physically the way he was and he will be a very good signing for us."
