Upson misses Clarets test

West Ham United, 14:20, November 27, 2009 ,

Hammers captain Matthew Upson has been ruled out of Burnley's visit to Upton Park with a hamstring injury picked up in training.

However, Kieran Dyer, who had a hamstring problem of his own, is in line to return to the West Ham line-up after scoring a brace in his reserve team comeback.
Alessandro Diamanti (hip) and James Tomkins (groin) may also return to the fold after returning to training.
West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola will definitely be without long-term absentees Dean Ashton (ankle), Luis Boa Morte (knee) and Calum Davenport (leg), with questions marks still hanging over Ashton's future in the game.
