Gianfranco Zola could welcome back Benni McCarthy and Kieron Dyer for the big clash at Chelsea on Saturday.
McCarthy has returned to full training this week and is expected to be in the squad having not featured since early February when he suffered a knee injury against Burnley.
Dyer, meanwhile, is in contention for his first start since the clash at Bolton Wanderers on December 15 after he played nearly 45 minutes last weekend and then followed that up with a run-out in a training game this week.
Fellow midfielders Jack Collison and Junior Stanislas have also been training but are unlikely to be risked by Zola as the Hammers look for vital points to help their relegation battle.
Elsewhere, Danny Gabbidon could also be back in the squad but Manuel da Costa is suspended and Herita Ilunga and Julien Faubert are both rated as major doubts.
Mark Noble is definitely out with his arm injury while long-term absentees Zavon Hines and Luis Boa Morte (both knee) are still on the sidelines.
