Titus Bramble has told his Wigan teammates their win against Chelsea will count for nothing if they fail to beat Hull on Saturday.
The Latics banished one of the most unwanted records in the Premier League last weekend when they deservedly beat the Blues 3-1 to finally register their first top-flight win against one of the 'Big Four' sides in 35 attempts.
However, Bramble knows that the momentum Wigan have built up from their famous victory will be lost if they don't produce a similar performance against Phil Brown's struggling Hull team.
The defender told the Wigan Evening Post: "These are the games (against the likes of Hull) in which we have to ensure we stay as far away from them as possible in the table and three points on Saturday will contribute to that.
"Hopefully we can build on last weekend. Confidence is sky-high so we have to go and make sure we beat Hull now.
"We've got to show what a good team we are by going to Hull and putting in a performance like we did against Chelsea."
