Defender agrees Latics deal

Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of defender Ronnie Stam from FC Twente in a £3million deal.
Stam arrived in Wigan for a medical yesterday and, after successfully negotiating a deal at the DW Stadium, the right-back has now signed for the Latics.
The 26-year-old secured the Dutch title with FC Twente last season and spent two years with the club but has now chosen to continue his career in England and will take the place of departed compatriot Mario Melchiot in the Wigan defence.
