French trialist eyes Latics move

French defender Eric Cubilier is on trial at Wigan while Steve Bruce has revealed Erik Edman is a couple of months away from returning.
Cubilier, 29, is out of contract and hoping to earn a deal at the JJB Stadium after being released by Nantes in October.
The former Monaco defender has played the majority of his career as a right full-back.
Latics boss Steve Bruce has also confirmed that Edman is at least a 'couple of months' from fully recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
