Chelsea are edging closer to a deal for Wigan forward Victor Moses after Latics wrapped up a move for Arouna Kona.
A deal to sign Moses is almost there after Wigan drafted in Kone from Levante yesterday as his replacement, while Ryo Miyaichi has also arrived from Arsenal on a season-long loan. Now that Roberto Martinez has got both players on board it will clear the way for Moses to move to Stamford Bridge. The two clubs are still haggling over the fee as Wigan want a down payment of £7million with it eventually rising to £10million, but Chelsea would prefer to pay less initially with more coming later in the way of add ons. A compromise will be reached shortly but whether it is in time for the weekend when the two sides go head-to-head in the Premier League opener, remains to be seen.
