Liverpool will make a move for Wigan attacker Victor Moses if they miss out on Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Moses is in demand with Chelsea, Liverpool and Queens Park Rangers leading the chase should Wigan decide to cash in and Latics chairman Dave Whelan is bracing himself for more offers. Chelsea are rumoured to be preparing a fresh bid after failing with their opening offer of £4million and now reports claim that Liverpool are poised to make a move. New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was hoping to land Sigurdsson but the Icelandic midfielder is closing in on a move to Tottenham and he will have to look elsewhere for more attacking talent. 21-year-old Moses is the player Rodgers could turn to but he would have to match Wigan's £8million valuation if he is to have any chance of doing a deal.
