Wigan continue to be linked with a move for Leeds striker Ross McCormack but face strong competition for his signature.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez is in the hunt for at least one new striker following the departure of Hugo Rodallega and he could need two if Victor Moses leaves for Chelsea. Everton youngster Victor Anichebe is thought to be on his wanted list and is seen as a direct replacement for Moses should he go, while McCormack continues to be linked. Leeds could be ready to let the striker go for a fee in the region of £2.5million but there is interest from elsewhere with West Ham and Huddersfield Town also thought to be interested. The Scotland international was Leeds top goalscorer with 19 goals last season and Martinez is keen to get him on board as he looks to sharpen up his attack for the new campaign.
