Ling to keep tabs on defender

Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling has confirmed he will continue to monitor the situation of Wigan youngster Luke Ashworth.
The 18-year-old defender made five first-team appearances in a recent loan spell with the O's, but has now returned to the JJB because of the return from injury of Tamika Mkandawire.
O's boss Ling revealed to Orient's official website: "Luke came to the club to act as cover for the centre-back position and he did an excellent job for us.
"He hasn't been getting enough bench or pitch time in recent weeks though, so it is best that he returns to Wigan so he can remind them what he is about.
"His time here clearly showed that he has a bright future and we will continue to monitor his situation at Wigan."
