Maloney keeping grounded
Shaun Maloney is refusing to look too far into the future despite Wigan's strong start to the Premier League season.
Roberto Martinez's team have taken four points from their first three games following an opening-day defeat to reigning European champions Chelsea. Wigan lost to the Blues but beat Southampton and drew against Stoke, with a comfortable Capital One Cup win over Nottingham Forest a further confidence boost. "I think it's difficult to second guess where you're going to finish," Maloney said. "If we don't work as hard as we did in the games against United, Arsenal, Chelsea and teams like that, then we don't win. "If we continue to do that, we'll improve on last season but, if we don't, we'll find ourselves in the bottom half of the table again."
