No January exit for Zaki - Bruce

Wigan Athletic, 10:41, November 14, 2008 ,

Wigan boss Steve Bruce insists loan striker Amr Zaki will see the season out at the JJB and not leave in January.

The Egypt international has taken the Premier League by storm since arriving on loan from Zamalek and his form has not gone unnoticed by a host of rival clubs.
But Bruce claims the eight-goal hitman is 100 per cent certain to remain with Latics and that he has a good chance of landing the 25-year-old permanently.
He told Sky Sports: "He is ours until the summer. We have got that in black and white. He is not going to go anywhere.
"We will sit down with the representatives of his club when we feel the time is right. If we can thrash out a deal, then great. If we can't, we can't. He has had a good start here. He has done well, but we are only at the start of a year loan.
"We are in the driving seat because we have got him here playing with us."
