On loan striker back at JJB

Wigan Athletic, 14:00, December 19, 2008

Antoine Sibierski has returned to Wigan for treatment on his injured knee as Norwich appear reluctant to extend his loan spell.

The French striker has done well for the Canaries, scoring two goals in 12 starts, but has picked up a knee injury and is back in Wigan to have treatment.

Reports suggest the injury will cut short the former Newcastle man's spell at Carrow Road and the cash-strapped Canaries are unlikely to extend his stay when it ends in mid-January.

Latics boss Steve Bruce said: "Sibi is back having treatment on his knee, but the loan doesn't finish until the middle of next month. We'll see how things are then, see how things progress."
