Pollitt poised for another run
Wigan Athletic, 11:08, January 30, 2009 ,
Mike Pollitt will continue in place of injured goalkeeper Chris Kirkland for the difficult trip to take on Aston Villa on Saturday.
Kirkland did not play in the late 1-1 draw against title-chasers Liverpool on Wednesday and will not be risked for the tough-looking West Midlands assignment against Martin O'Neill's Champions League hopefuls.
Michael Brown should continue in centre midfield alongside Lee Cattermole, while new signing Ben Watson is edging closer to match fitness after almost two months out because of a groin injury.
Fellow new-boy Mido is likely to continue in attack alongside Amr Zaki but Hugo Rodallega is in with a shout after his impact from the bench at the JJB in midweek.
Antonio Valencia will be sidelined again by the hamstring strain he suffered at Manchester City a fortnight ago.
Titus Bramble is back from suspension but could lose out to Emmerson Boyce and Paul Scharner in the race to shackle Latics old-boy Emile Heskey.
