Roberto ready to pull plug
Wigan Athletic, 14:25, July 5, 2009 ,
Wigan look ready to end their interest in Spanish duo Raul Tamudo and Albert Crusat unless the deals go through this week.
Espanyol striker Tamudo, 31, and Almeria left winger Crusat, 27, are wanted by new Latics boss Roberto Martinez but there has been no movement and now reports in Spain claim he has set a deadline.
Tamudo reportedly has interest from Italy and Mexico while Spurs are said to be rivals for Crusat as White Hart Lane chief Harry Redknapp looks to fill a problem position.
And Martinez is now set to pull out if nothing is finalised by midweek on order to move on to other targets.
