Striker seals Genoa switch
Wigan striker Mauro Boselli has confirmed he will spend the next six months on loan with Italian side Genoa.
The Argentine forward joined the Latics in a £6million deal in the summer but has so far failed to impress in the Premier League. Serie A duo Bari and Genoa were battling for his signature and Boselli has now revealed, in his native Spanish, on social networking site Twitter that he will join Genoa for the remainder of the campaign. "6 months at Genoa, very happy!" he Tweeted. Boselli's move to the Luigi Ferraris is expected to be finalised in the coming days. However, while Wigan have agreed to allow Boselli the chance to leave on loan his career at the DW Stadium may not be over just yet as the Latics will not want to give up on a player they spent a significant amount of time chasing and spent a hefty fee on during the last summer transfer window.
