Wigan linked with Norwich defender

Wigan Athletic are reportedly planning a move for Norwich City defender Zak Whitbread, who will be a free agent in the summer.

Whitbread's current deal at Carrow Road comes to an end in the summer and with the defender yet to agree new terms Wigan are believed to be keen to tempt the 28-year-old to move to the DW Stadium.
The centre-half has impressed for Norwich this season and the Canaries will be keen to tie him down to a new deal if possible, while Wigan will also face competition from Everton and Sunderland if they decide to make a move.
