Wing man's JJB exit plea

Wigan Athletic, 08:46, July 9, 2008 ,

Rachid Bouaouzan has called on Wigan boss Steve Bruce to allow him to leave the club on loan in order to gain some first-team football.

The Dutch winger has not featured for Latics in a first-team game after being signed from Sparta Rotterdam last summer and does not feel his chances of featuring will be great this coming season after Bruce snapped up his compatriot Daniel de Ridder from Birmingham.
Therefore Bouaouzan feels it would be more beneficial for himself and Wigan if he was sent to another club where he can secure some valuable experience of playing in England.
"For the club and for me it is better that I play games," he told Algemeen Dagblad.
"I have now been at Wigan for a season and it has been a fun learning period. I can no longer see myself sitting in the second team.
"Last season I never played so perhaps a loan to another club is the best solution."
