Boss hails fans

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Latest news update:

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy says the club's fans are critical to their chances of Premiership survival this season.

The Wolves boss still believes the fans are on their side despite the team sitting in second bottom position in the Premiership and getting a 4-1 drubbing at home by Arsenal last time out.
Despite that beating the fans still applauded the manager and McCarthy believes they see the side are doing their best.
He told the expressandstar: "It was quite a humble and embarrassed clap which I gave the fans, I have to say. To receive that kind of support when you're 4-0 down is quite humbling.
"I'd like to think it's because people are enjoying and respecting the job I've done, and the way the lads have gone about their business.
"I think our performances suggest we'll be alright and that might be why we're getting the support as well.
"The players, despite being 3-0 down, never let their heads drop and kept working, running and chasing.
"I respect them for that and just think it was lovely they got the support from the fans, even if it was through me with 'Super Mick McCarthy."
