Connor backed to succeed
Wolves winger Michael Kightly has backed Terry Connor to lead the club back to the big time if he is handed the manager's post.
Mick McCarthy's former assistant was handed the role on a temporary basis back in February in the hope that he could save the club from the drop. That has not been the case but he is still backed by Kightly to get the team back into the Premier League at the first attempt next season. "If Terry gets the job, I'm sure we can bounce back up," said Kightly. "From the outside it doesn't look as if he's done too well, but from the inside, he's done a really good job. He said we've got to bounce back next season."
