Wolves boss Terry Connor has revealed he was inundated with messages of support following the club's relegation on Sunday.
Connor was visibly upset when interviewed on TV after the home defeat to Manchester City had confirmed the club would be playing in the Championship next season and that led to messages of support flooding in. The former assistant boss still does not know what the future holds for him at Molineux as he was only handed the manager's role on a temporary basis until the summer when Mick McCarthy was axed back in February but he has thanked everyone for their support and believes the players and staff gave him everything. He told the Express and Star: "All the staff and players have given everything they possibly can. "It was really tough to not see it through this season and get safe. "It's been hard for the last couple of days. "We've been up and down before and I know what it means to me, players who have been here for a while and to the staff who work for the club. "They all feel it too. "So I popped down to Molineux on Monday because there were lots of messages and support. "Rather than replying to them all, I nipped down to the ground to say 'thanks very much'."
