Wolves boss Terry Connor has said he would be happy to work with Mick McCarthy again but he is also content to be on his own.

Connor was number two to McCarthy at Wolves until February when Connor replaced his boss as manager, but with his own future now in doubt following relegation from the Premier League, he says he would have no problem teaming up with him again. Connor has admitted he does not know what the future has in store for him at Wolves but he is not ruling anything out. He said: "We worked well over a number of years and got to know each other very well. "I can understand Mick saying that and I'd have no problems if he asked me to work with him again. I would have no problems doing that. "But I would also say I'm nearly 50 now and I got by for 45 years on my own two feet. I can look after myself. "It is be nice Mick has given me that recommendation but I can stand on my own two feet if necessary."
