'Four or five' want Vokes
Wolverhampton Wanderers, 18:20, October 15, 2009 ,
Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed Doncaster Rovers are one of 'four or five' clubs interested in Wolves striker Sam Vokes.
O'Driscoll is currently without nine first-team players through injury or suspension and desperate to get a striker in - although it may have to be on loan.
But the Rovers boss dismissed permanent moves for Ipswich Town outcasts Jon Stead and Owen Garvan, who have fallen foul of Roy Keane's management style.
He told the Doncaster Free Press: "Stead and Garvan are not really on our radar because of the cost involved.
"Our interest in Vokes is well known but there are four or five other clubs who have made enquiries and again it's down to money."
