Wolves' worst fears have been realised as Wayne Hennessey has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments and will be out for six months.
The Welsh international picked up the injury against Sunderland last weekend and initially it was thought it was just a minor tear, after he played on with the problem, but sadly that is not the case. Having seen a specialist Hennessey will now undergo surgery on Wednesday afternoon and is not expected to be back into contention until the Autumn. "Our worst fears have been realised," Wolves' Head of Medical Services Steve Kemp told ther club's website, "Wayne has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will have surgery this afternoon.
