Leeds could face competition from Championship leaders Wolves in their bid to sign Alan Gow from Blackpool.

The 25-year-old, who has been a revelation on loan from Rangers at Blackpool this season, is a target of Leeds as the club look to strengthen in the January transfer window. However they now appear to be facing tough competition from Championship pacesetters Wolves whose boss Mick McCarthy was very impressed with Gow's display in the 2-2 draw at Bloomfield Road - his last while on loan there. The former Falkirk player is just 18 months into a three-year contract at Rangers, but started just two games for Walter Smith's men last season and it appears his future lies elsewhere. There's no shortage of admirers of the talented winger, however, and a whole host of Championship clubs, including Burnley, would be keen on signing him so Leeds, currently ninth in League One, it seems are in a real battle to land one of their top targets.
