Stoke linked with Jarvis move

Stoke chairman Peter Coates hope to make moves in the transfer market soon with Wolves Matt Jarvis being strongly linked.
The Potters left much of their transfer business late 12 months ago but Coates insists that will not necessarily be the case this summer and he hopes boss Tony Pulis will be making additions to his squad sooner rather than later. Wolves winger Matt Jarvis is tipped to leave Molineux following their relegation and he remains a top target while Manchester City wide-man Adam Johnson is another possibility if the champions reduce their asking price and the England man accepts a wage cut. "Football is uncertain and deals can be uncertain, so you just don't know when things will happen," Coates said. "Just because the deals happened later last year, doesn't mean it will be the same this time. "It is not a plan to leave it late into the transfer window. We will just see what develops."
