Striker eyes return

Wolverhampton Wanderers, 11:09, February 24, 2010

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake admits to being frustrated at being out of the side and claims he is doing everything he can to get back in.

The Wolves striker was unstoppable in the Championship last season winning the Golden Boot award for a second time but things are much harder in the Premiership and he has only netted once all season.
The 23-year-old, who has not started a game since the Wigan clash in January, has not given up hope of fighting his way back into the side for the relegation fight ahead.
He told the club's website: "It's no secret that it's been a frustrating time for me," says Ebanks-Blake, whose last league start came against Wigan on January 16.
"I've gone from being a regular starter and playing well to having an indifferent season this year.
"I've had to learn a lot from being out of the team because it's very different not starting games to when you are and you see the other side of things.
"I've had to learn to do a bit more in training and keep my body and fitness up and keep my focus and my head right.
"That's all got to be ready for the time when I'm called upon.
"The gaffer picks the team and picks what he feels is the strongest team to win any given game.
"He's gone with one up front which has worked for us in recent games.
"I've just got to keep my head down and everything right to try and get back in.
"And if I'm called upon at what I believe is the business end of the season then I've got to be ready."
