Striker to return for Blues clash
Wolverhampton Wanderers, 10:37, November 24, 2009 ,
Wolves striker Kevin Doyle is set to return to the starting line up for the massive clash with Birmingham this weekend.
The record signing was left out of the clash at Chelsea at the weekend after his efforts for the Republic of Ireland in mid-week against France but he is likely to be back for the clash at home to Birmingham on Sunday.
Matt Jarvis replaced the former Reading man up front at Stamford Bridge and did well in his absence but he may be the one to step down for the clash with Blues.
McCarthy told the Express and Star: "Kevin was never going to play, because he played 120 minutes on Wednesday. I know Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka did, but I didn't think he would have to run about as much as Doyle.
"Anelka was playing in a team that was passing it around and keeping it and he didn't have to put in as much effort as Doyle would have had to."
