Terry Connor is still being considered as a possible new permanent boss, despite overseeing Wolves' relegation to the Championship.
The former assistant, who took over when Mick McCarthy was axed back in February, had been expected to pay the price for failing to drag the side out of the relegation places but that is not necessarily going to be the case. It could be that Connor is kept on in a different capacity at the club, either way chief executive Jez Moxey claims they will not be rushed into a decision. Moxey told the Express: "There will be no restrictions on the timing of the appointment. People may have to wait a while and we shall be going about our business in private. "Terry Connor is a Wolves man through and through. People such as Joleon Lescott, our former defender, took the opportunity to talk up Connor's credentials in the run-up to the game with Manchester City. "No one put words in Lescott's mouth. "That was an honest opinion. Connor has great integrity and was handed a hard task. We will be sitting down with him and getting his thoughts on the way forward."
