Yeovil assistant manager Terry Skiverton hailed his side's performance after their convincing 3-0 victory over Colchester in the Capital One Cup first round.
A brace from centre-back Richard Hinds and a debut goal for Keanu Marsh-Brown ensured the Glovers secured their place in the second round.
Skiverton said: "On the back of the Exeter game where we did look a bit rusty, every facet of our game worked well.
"A lot of people made their competitive debuts for us and did well.
He added: "We had been playing Keanu Marsh-Brown on the right in pre-season, but since the pre-season game at Plymouth where he played behind the front men, he has wanted to play there again.
"This was the first time we've seen him there again and that last goal was a great goal."
