Gary Johnson is delighted to see his Yeovil side topping the League One table - despite the season having not yet entered September.

The Glovers romped to a second successive away win with a comprehensive 4-0 victory at Scunthorpe which leaves them with 10 points from the opening four games of the season. Impressive throughout, Johnson's side never looked back after Keanu Marsh-Brown had fired them in front after 37 minutes. Reuben Reid put the result beyond doubt shortly after the interval, before substitute Gozie Ugwu took advantage of some more hapless defending to score twice in the closing minutes. "Scunthorpe won't be pleased with the way they have played, I'm sure," Johnson said. "When they got through us, they found they had our keeper Marek (Stech) to contend with. When we got through, we got through. "From our point of view it was a good game. We played some good football in the final third and managed to get in behind Scunthorpe quite a few times. "It's nice to be up there at the top of the table, even if we are now there to be shot at. Obviously it would be better to be up there leading after 45 games but I would rather be up there now than having to do the chasing. The lads have worked hard and deserve their little bit of notoriety, up there as leaders."
