Gunners quash Wenger successor link

Arsenal have played down reports in Germany they have contacted Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel about succeeding Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners have been linked to several possible replacements for Wenger, who has yet to sign a new contract with the club ahead of his current deal expiring at the end of the season.
Reports in Germany on Monday have claimed the north Londoners have reached out to Dortmund chief Tuchel but Arsenal have been quick to dismiss the speculation.
A spokesperson has told Sky Sports News it is "not true" the club have contacted Tuchel.
Meanwhile, West Brom boss Tony Pulis has claimed Wenger told him after Saturday's clash at the Hawthorns - which the Gunners lost 3-1 - that he would be staying in charge for next season.
When asked by The Sun whether he thought Wenger would stay, Pulis said: "I'll be surprised if he goes."
When pushed on why he felt that way, he added: "Because he told me."
