Gunners weigh up move for Del Piero
Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Alessandro Del Piero who appears set to leave Juventus at the end of the season.
Del Piero's brother and agent Stefano claims the 37-year-old is wanted by a host of clubs with the Turin giants no closer to offering him a deal that meets the veteran forward's approval.
Paris Saint Germain are likely to rival the Gunners for the player's signature and the big spending French leaders have been urged to seal the deal by Del Piero's old Juve team-mate Mohammed Sissoko, who now plays his trade at the Parc des Princes.
However, the Italian legend is in no rush to make a decision regarding his future just yet but he is thought to be keen on the idea of a new challenge before he hangs up his boots.
His agent told Ilsussidiario.net: "There is no news at the moment but all the doors are open for a move away from Turin.
"There are no restrictions from our part. It all depends on what type of project a club has and what is exactly behind the proposal and the kind of football which would attract Alex, but the main interest is the project.
"I think that after 20 years with Juventus and having given his availability to the club to sign a new deal since last February, it is now very difficult to remain in Italy.
"We are not close to anything, but I think it will be hard to remain in Serie A."
