Gunners' chief Arsene Wenger is preparing to do some wheeling and dealing in the upcoming transfer window given that the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are both being tipped to depart the Emirates Stadium ahead of their respective contracts expiring next summer.
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha was linked with a move to Arsenal over the weekend and reports are also claiming Wenger is poised to pull off a major coup to bring in Fekir.
The 24-year-old France international has previously been compared to Lionel Messi by Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas and he is clearly a massive influence on the team given that he has already scored 12 goals in 15 appearances so far this season.
Wenger would have to break Arsenal's current transfer record of £52million, which secured the signature of Fekir's former Lyon team-mate Alexandre Lacazette in the summer transfer window, to pull of a deal for he player who is under contract with the France Ligue 1 outfit until summer 2020.
But with sizeable fees set to be commanded for Ozil and Sanchez, Wenger's outlay would be minimal to sign Fekir.
