Wilshere left the Gunners for Bournemouth during the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal.
The midfielder will enter the final year of his Gunners deal next summer and it has been suggested he could move on permanently at the end of his loan stay.
Wilshere says he is still unsure as to what the future holds and, for now, his focus is on Bournemouth but he refused to rule out a return to Arsenal or the prospect of a new deal.
"At the moment, my head is in Bournemouth," he told Sky Sports. "I know as much as everyone else knows.
"I read what the boss at Arsenal [Arsene Wenger] said and at the moment I'm focused on performing for Bournemouth and putting myself in a position where Arsenal want to offer me a new contract and I'm in a strong position at the end of the season.
"At the moment, I'm taking each game as it comes, working hard and I'm looking forward to the next six or seven months here at Bournemouth.
"We'll see what happens after that."
