Jenas hoping for Villa debut

Aston Villa, Latest news update:

Midfielder Jermaine Jenas could make his long-awaited Aston Villa debut this weekend in the trip to the Stadium of Light.

The Englishman signed on a season-long loan in the summer from Tottenham, but has not featured for the Villains since the move.
Jenas suffered a thigh injury in the opening training session of the season, but his recovery was put back when he suffered an Achilles problem.
Villa were also lifted this week with the news that Chris Herd's three-match had been upheld allowing him to face Sunderland.
The 22-year old was sent off his side's defeat to West Brom last weekend, but his appeal was successful meaning he will be available for selection for the trip to the North East.
